Grace Psychology is run as a bulk-billing practice for those on Health cards or unemployed to ensure that anyone who needs help can find a 'listening ear'.
As a Medicare client, you will need to ask your GP to fill in a Mental Health Care Plan which you will need to bring to your first visit or request for your GP practice to fax to myself at (07) 3103 4616.
A mental health care plan will entitle you to 6 sessions (of 50 minutes duration) at no cost to yourself (if on concession) or at a rate of $120 (gap fee of $33.85 after Medicare rebate)
Should you require further sessions beyond this, I will provide your referring GP with a progress report requesting a further 4 sessions. You will need to return to your GP for him/her to support your access to further sessions.
There is a maximum of 10 bulk-billed sessions allowable per person per calendar year, and should you wish to continue counselling beyond 10 sessions, I will ask you to pay privately at a rate of $120 (50 mins) or $85 for concession card holders.
The rate of $120 is also available for anyone who does not wish to obtain psychological services through Medicare, or who wishes to rather claim from their personal health insurance independently.
